Works great at my bedside. I can plug in my cell phone, house phone, lamp and have an clock/alarm all in one without having to fight multiple plugs in my wall outlet. The alarm sound is rather harsh but I can live with that.Researched forever and wanted an alarm clock, two outlets, and three ports or better. This one impressed me because other reviews said a competitor clock was "blowing up" and getting overheated. This one has a thicker cord and the surge protection to avoid this. Also, the brightness selection is an added bonus. I purchased this for room rentals so I wanted something nice. This one checked all the boxes. However, it didn't say anything about the alarm going off when the power goes out. So, you will see that I asked the question in Amazon's list of questions.Superdanny responded, "Yes, of course the alarm will still sound at the appropriate time with the batteries installed if the electricity goes out in the middle of the night. The 2 AAA batteries (not included) can keep the clock running with no clock display while unplugged to the electric or the electricity goes out." When they cam in the next day or so, I checked them with my adult son at home and everything worked as promised EXCEPT the alarm with no power (they did have the batteries in the clocks and overnight to work). SO DISAPPOINTING!!! I thought these were going to be perfect. I did more research and decided that they are still the best I can find. They look expensive and was nicer than the last two examples I saw in expensive hotel rooms (also, seeing them, I knew exactly what I was looking for). So, sorry Superdanny, only 4 stars since the glitch with the alarm. Just have Mom and/or grandma call you when you have an important date, get a "Big Ben" manual clock, set your cell phone alarm... you get the idea. I still recommend them. I am keeping them and like them.The blue color of the numbers was difficult to read from a distance.I bought the clock for the dimming capability on the clock numbers. Adjustable brightness.So i bought this because its small, and has the usb charging port and 2 plug ins. It chargesMy note 9 fine but not sure how fast because i use it at night while im sleep. The cord is heavy and it barely made it where i needed it to go - across half my king size bed in the back. But it worked out where i needed it. Read the directions carefully on how to set the time and alarm - and turning the alarm on. That is confusing. You cant figure it out just by looking at the alarm clock buttons and pushing them. Its a trick to it in the directions. But all in all outside of setting everything - im happy with it. This is not recommended for someone thats not tech savy. I do love how the light on the time has 3 dimmers and can also set if you dont want to see the light at all. I thought that was a nice feature.I bought one of these units and used it for a couple of weeks to make certain it worked well. It was easy to set up and use, the display is easy to read and dim, it kept accurate time and it charged a couple of devices simultaneously. Once I was satisfied I bought another six for a vacation rental property with the plan to place one next to each bed. We'll see how the renters like them over the coming vacation rental season.
