Streamlight 76816 Polystinger DS LED Flashlight with 120-Volt AC/DC Fast Charger and 1 Piggyback Holder.I needed a dual-switch (a switch at head of the light and one on the end cap) flashlight for LE work, and I wanted a rechargeable and LED light. I have used Streamlight products before, but they were all purchased by the department or company, so this was first time I had to purchased a high quality light for myself. And, being in LE, you need a really good and reliable flashlight.I had researched for about month for a small-to-medium flashlight to put in with my camping gear and wear on my duty belt, and I narrowed it down to the Pelcian LAPD LED light, Inova T4, Streamlight Stinger models. Overall, the Polystinger DS LED was the best. It has a fast charge (anything less than 3 hours is great for me), lightweight, and super bright.I choose this particular item #76816 because it meet my needs. It came with the flashlight, 1-DC (car charger) plug, 1-AC (wall charger) plug, the fast-charger with an attached piggyback charger, and 2-batteries.- Since flashlights are personal budgeted items for my department, rechargeable batteries seems to be the way to go, and in this case not only was it economical, it is also environmentally friendly--no bulbs and no expensive non-rechargeable batteries. (Replacement rechargeable batteries cost ~$15 and are good for 1,000 charges.)- I wanted a fast charger because most chargers for these kinds of flashlight genre typically takes 8-12 hours to fully charge. The fast-charger will fully charge the flashlight with ~2.5 hours.- I needed the ability to charge a second battery simultaneously, so I do not need to replace the battery in the flashlight just to have a second battery on-hand. The piggyback charger is attached to the fast-charger, so one plug will charge both battery and flashlight with battery.- I wanted a charger that I can deploy and have stationary whenever I need it for whatever purpose. With this particular item, I can charge at home and in my patrol car.- I wanted a product that wasn't going to be heavy on the duty belt, so the Polystinger was idea. (The Stingers are metal; the Polystingers are plastic--but very durable and rugged.)I have yet to be disappointed with this company or product line, and their customer service (via email) is awesome. The LED is the brightest of the three I considered to purchase: Overall it had the 2nd best recharge time (with the fast-charger, by half an hour faster than the Inova), the best brightest LED (bright enough I can see the projected light during daylight), and it had the 2nd best price on Amazon ($140 for this item#). (An added convenience is that I can use the same batteries or charge the Stringer or Polystringer that most of my co-workers use.)ADDENDUM: I don't use my flashlight too much while on duty, but two things: 1) there have been times I have used it a lot while on duty, having this particular model, I had made use of the backup battery a few times, and the fast charger once so far. 2) I had kept the flashlight off the charger for almost a month with typical usage, and could have got longer on a single charge.
