RiteAV's Decorative White Wall Plate includes Toolless, Low Voltage Connections, so you can simply plug your HDMI and Ethernet Cables into the back of the plate the same way you do on the front, which simplifies the installation process. The outlet itself is Tamper Resistant for added safety and must be wired as with any new power outlet. The Dual Powered USB Type A Ports supply 5VDC with 3.6A shared charging current. They are not capable of transferring data or files, but are able to charge a variety of Portable Electronic Devices (Charging Cables are not included but must have a USB Type A Connector at the end of the cable so it's compatible with the charging port on the outlet). It is not a GFCI Outlet so it should not be installed near or behind a kitchen sink, bathtub, bathroom or within 12-15 feet of any source of water and must be installed into a new or existing plastic or metal outlet electrical box.
